Heat Pump Rebates - Cape Light Compact

Cape Light Compact
Rebates on Heat Pump Technology
Cold Climate Heat Pumps
Cold Climate Heat Pumps are one of the most efficient ways to cool and heat your home. Cape Light Compact offers a number of options and rebates to help you upgrade or switch to Heat Pump Technology.
How the Electric Heating & Cooling Rebate Program Works:
Step 1: Contact your HVAC contractor* to determine which equipment is right for your home.
Step 2: Have your contractor review the Heat Pump/Central AC or Mini-Split Heat Pump Rebate Application with you.
Step 3: When the work is completed by a licensed contractor, fill out and submit the applicable rebate form along with a dated receipt and contractor invoice showing the make, model, and date of installation, and any additional required information as noted on the application.
*The Sponsors of Mass Save train participating contractors in the installation procedures such as proper duct sealing, airflow measurements, and appropriate sizing for your living space to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
The Compact offers rebates on four different types of Heat Pumps. Click the equipment below to jump to that section of the webpage.

Mini-Split Heat Pumps
Mini-split heat pumps are efficient HVAC systems that can produce cooling for the summer months and heating in the winter months. A mini-split system is composed of two components: an outdoor condensing unit and one or more indoor air handling units, connected by a conduit through your wall.

1Actual tons are calculated based on AHRI cooling capacity divided by 12,000 BTUs. Rebate amount based on actual tons
2Integrated controls are either approved control packages or dual fuel thermostats that switch between a heat pump and a central heating system
3The Sponsors do not recommend fully replacing existing central heating systems with heat pump equipment. Customers that choose to do so may access the Fuel Optimization incentive levels without the installation of an integrated control. Cannot be combined with other rebates for same equipment. See Terms and Conditions for full requirements.

Central Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps
A central heat pump operates on the same principles as a central AC system, but is able to provide heating as well as cooling by using the difference between outdoor air temperatures and indoor air temperatures to cool and heat your home. Using air heat pumps in the winter to complement your existing heating system can reduce your overall heating costs. The Sponsors of Mass Save offer training to participating contractors on proper installation, such as duct sealing, airflow measurements, and appropriate sizing for your living space, to ensure equipment operates efficiently.

Interested in Financing Your New Equipment?
The Sponsors of Mass Save are buying down interest rates to make energy efficiency more affordable for Massachusetts residents. With our  HEAT Loan , you could qualify for a loan of up to $25,000 toward qualified energy efficient home improvements with terms up to seven years, depending on your Sponsor and the loan provider. Central air conditioners and heat pumps must be installed by an AC Check trained contractor in order to be eligible for HEAT loan financing.
To get started, call us at  1-800-797-6699  to schedule a  Home Energy Assessment . A Mass Save representative will review the results of the assessment, let you know which improvements would be eligible for HEAT Loan financing, and give you all the paperwork you need.
